Are You Struggling with These Issues from Used Alcohol?
A Simpler Way to Reuse Your Alcohol
We created the first filter bag on the market designed specifically for resin 3D printing, so you can filter and reuse alcohol without the hassle.

A Patented Solution for Alcohol Filtration
When your alcohol stops cleaning your models properly, you’ll naturally assume it needs to be replaced.
That is where the Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag comes in. By filtering out the resin residue, it restores your alcohol to a clean state ready to be reused with confidence.
Reusing Your Alcohol Has Never Been Easier
The Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag efficiently removes resin residue from used alcohol, allowing it to be reused for model cleaning.
2 Simple Steps to Reuse Alcohol

Step 1|Filter the Cloudy Alcohol
When wash alcohol becomes too cloudy to use, place the Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag over a clean container and pour the alcohol through it. During this process, resin residue is captured by the filter bag, and the alcohol becomes visibly clearer.

Step 2|Reuse It for Model Cleaning
Pour the filtered alcohol back into your wash station. At this stage, the alcohol still provides sufficient cleaning performance for model washing, allowing it to be reused instead of discarded.
Each Filtration Can Save Up to 50% on Your Alcohol Costs
With the Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag, filtering used alcohol becomes easier, faster, and more cost-effective.
平均可過濾5次!
Using less alcohol frees up more budget for resins and other accessories, allowing you to print more.
酒精耗材費用高!
Each filtration provides a quick and easy way to save an entire batch of alcohol from being wasted.
Easy Setup, Designed to Fit Your Process
The Alcohol Filter Bag does not require any special tools to set up. Simply hang or clip the filter bag on top of a container to complete the filtration.
• Allow the alcohol to drip down naturally through the filter bag without submerging it. You can use racks, clamps, or other tools you already have to set it up.
• Place a PP or PE plastic container under the filter bag to collect the filtered alcohol. You can also use the wash tanks from Phrozen Wash & Cure or Wash Mega directly.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about the Alcohol Filter Bag
The Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag is designed for filtering 95% alcohol used to clean standard model resins and certain engineering resins. If the used alcohol contains extremely fine resin particles, such as those from ceramic-filled resins, filtration performance maybe limited. We recommend evaluating compatibility based on your resin type and usage conditions.
Simply pour used alcohol into the filter bag. The PP (polypropylene) material captures resin residue while allowing clean alcohol to pass through. Once filtration is complete, the filtered alcohol can be poured directly back into your washing station. Filtration occurs naturally without the need for tools, pumps, heating, or additional equipment.
If your cleaning solution for water-washable resins is water-based, then it is not compatible, as the Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag is specifically designed for alcohol-based solutions only.
No. Based on Phrozen's internal testing, cleaning performance does not decrease due to multiple filtration cycles under normal usage conditions. The filtration process removes resin residues but does not affect the alcohol’s cleaning properties.
*As the filter bag collects more resin residue over time, filtration speed may slow down. When this happens, we recommend replacing the filter bag to maintain optimal filtration results.
According to Phrozen’s internal testing, each filtration can save up to 50% of the alcohol that would otherwise be discarded. Under typical usage conditions, one filter bag can be reused effectively for an average of five filtration cycles. A 2-pack set can therefore support approximately ten cycles. By reducing the frequency of alcohol replacement, you can significantly lower cleaning costs and allocate those savings toward resin or other printing materials.
Place the filter bag on top of a clean container, and pour the used alcohol into the bag to begin filtration. For best results, allow the alcohol to drip down naturally through the filter bag without submerging it.
The filter bag does not require any special tools to set up. It can be secured using clips, stands, or other existing supports. We recommend using a PP or PE plastic container, as these materials are more compatible with alcohol. You may also use the wash tank from a Phrozen Wash & Cure or Wash Mega S as the collection container.
Replace the filter bag when filtration becomes noticeably slower or less effective.
Additional Notes:
(1) Used filter bags should be completely dried before being disposed of as regular waste.
(2) Based on Phrozen’s internal laboratory testing, one filter bag can typically be used for about five filtration cycles, although actual reuse may vary depending on alcohol condition and usage patterns.
The key differences come down to whether the alcohol can be reused, how long the process takes, and how consistent the cleaning results are.
- Evaporation Method
This method allows the alcohol to fully evaporate, leaving cured resin residue behind for disposal. However, once evaporated, the alcohol cannot be reused.
- Natural Settling Method
This method involves sealing the used alcohol and allowing resin residue to settle over time, often with the help of sunlight. The process typically takes several days or longer, and fine resin particles may still remain in the alcohol.
- Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag
The filter bag physically removes resin particles from used alcohol through direct filtration. Once filtered, the alcohol can be reused immediately, without days of waiting. This enables faster workflow, more stable cleaning performance, and efficient alcohol recycling while reducing waste.
The main differences come down to how well they filter resin residue, how much time they require, and how easy it is to use.
- Coffee Filters and Metal Strainers
These are not designed for resin 3D printing. Their pore sizes are typically not optimized to capture the fine particles found in used alcohol. As a result, filtration effectiveness may be limited. In addition, their capacity is usually small, requiring repeated filtration cycles, which can be time-consuming. - Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag
The Phrozen Alcohol Filter Bag is designed specifically for reusing alcohol from resin 3D printing. Its filter material effectively captures fine resin particles. Made from chemical-resistant PP (polypropylene), it offers reliable durability and resistance to alcohol exposure. With a 5-liter capacity, you can process more alcohol in one run instead of filtering in small, repeated batches.
